Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Moscow has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area endured heavy assaults overnight. A seven-year-old child was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.

The strikes come after periods of air raids in the region, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The whole nation is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
